Sharing the word of God with my boss many years ago, I was in a conversation with him. In the middle of our conversation, something happened that changed my life. I saw a vision. It was so real. It was like a video. And then the Lord spoke to me.
In this vision, I saw myself speaking words. As I spoke, something came out of my mouth. It was like a bottle spraying a mist of some kind of liquid. But this mist when it came out of my mouth, went into the air and touched everything in the room. I saw it touch the ceiling tiles, the walls, the floor, the pictures hanging on the walls, and all the other items in the building. I did not know what to think about what I saw. I was shocked. Then I heard the voice of God say, “Your words are so powerful, that when spoken, they will touch everything in the room.”
It is one thing when you hear someone tell you, “You are a great young man.” Or “You did a great job.” Or “You have permission to do this.” But there is just something totally different when you hear God say, “Your words are so powerful, that when spoken, they will touch everything in the room.” Those words CHANGED my life.
It caused me to study the word of God and realize, there is POWER in the SPOKEN word. So much power, that there is LIFE and DEATH in your words.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
