Expose Yourself

Remembering an issue that took place when I was younger. My dad had went to a car lot and was looking at some trucks in hopes to buy one. While he was looking, no one came outside to speak with him. So my dad opened the door of the truck, pulled the latch, then opened the hood. Looking inside the engine compartment as any person would do to inspect the car before offering to purchase the car.

The owner of the car lot has known my dad for many years. Have seen my dad many times. My dad being a man of integrity always paid his bill and tried to treat everyone with respect and honor. The owner of the car lot had a disagreement with my dad. I do not remember what it was about now. But it effected their friendship, as the owner decided to call the cops and try to have my dad arrested, saying that he took the battery out of the truck and stole it.

Since the guy had no proof, other than his word against my dad, the cops would not arrest my dad. So the owner decided to take my dad to court. My dad was heart broken over the matter because this guy used to be a great friend. My dad has purchased many cars and trucks from this guy through the years. So my dad did not know what to do. So he got on his knees and begin to bring this before the Lord.

God then reminded him of the wrong he had done to this guy that caused him to be angry at my dad. Something that my dad did not think at that time was wrong, but God showed him where he was in the wrong. So when they went to court, my dad walked in with his suit and tie. The other guy had a lawyer. The judge asked for that guys side of the story. After he stated the accusation, the judge then turned to my dad and asked for his side.

My dad begin to expose his wrong doing from the past. Sharing with the judge what he really done wrong. And how that he did not realize that it had in fact effected their relationship. Then my dad, explained to the judge what happened on that day in question. After he share everything in detail, he then turned to the owner of the car lot and apologized for the wrong he had previously done and asked for his forgiveness.

The owner of the car lot did not care that he apologized and made a big scene in the court room. Causing the judge to charge the carlot owner with a fine and then also dismissed the case. Not charging my dad with anything. No court fees, no fees for the car lot owner, nothing. My dad won that battle just because he walked in with a sorrowful heart and exposed his wrong doing.

Many times in our walk of life, we make mistakes and mess up. The devil runs to the judge and accuses us of wrong doing. If we would go before the judge and expose what we have done with a sorrowful heart, the scripture states, he is just to forgive us. Many times we also want to HIDE what we have done. From God and from others. But God wants you to share your testimonies. Share with others what God delivered you from. How that God set you free. It is then and only then will you be free without shame, knowing that God uses your testimony of your deliverance to help set someone else free.

What do you need to expose?

What do you need to change?

Your testimony can change someone else, will you share it?

Are you willing to be set free?
