My younger self, I took a job working as a Kirby vacuum cleaner salesman who went from door to door. The job was not really that hard. The hard part was getting into a home of someone that I could demonstrate the way the system works. When you begin to give free things, like a set of steak knifes, people would take the knifes and allow you to show what you have. Once I got into the home, the demonstration would take about 30 to 45 minutes. After showing the system and how it works, and sharing how that their old system is not doing a good job at all, the next thing would be the “Call to Action”.
The “Call to Action” in some places are also called “Sealing the Deal”, “Making the sale”. Therefore, I would leave the system that I was demonstrating with and show them how to use the system before walking out of their house with a check or some other form of payment. The “Call to Action” was the most important part of the process, as it allowed me to bring home my commissions from the sale.
I shared that with you because I do believe that God is reaching for people in this hour. The Bible tells us in…
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” Ephesians 4:11-12
There are so many people in our society right now that think ministry is ONLY to be done by the pastors, evangelist, and etc. Those that are in leadership. The main point that I am trying to share with you is this.. WE as a people of God, no matter if God has called us to be a pastor, an evangelist, a prophet, etc. The main thing is that we stand up and be what God has called us all to be. “A Worker of the ministry”. We all have a ministry to preform. None of us are without a calling of some sort. This is a “Call to Action” on your part. Will you step up and do what God has called you to do?
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3
What are you called to do?
Who will you minister too?
Are you doing your part?
Step up to the plate and get ready to hit a home run!
YOU Got this!
