Clarity and Direction

We all need clarity and direction in our life. Sunday, while in service. God begin to speak into my life. Yes, the preaching was good. But it is more powerful when God begins to speak directly to you. One of the things God reminded me of was the word “Wait”.

Years ago, before stepping into a season in my life, God spoke to me and said, “Wait”. To confirm that he spoke, God saw that it was fitting to speak through 2 other great men of God. They spoke expressing the same word “Wait”.

You need to understand. I felt as though I was in a prime time of my life. Ministry was going well, people were receiving truth. And I felt as though it was time for me to step into something else. It was, but not what I thought that it would be. It was a time to fight in a battle. A battle in my mind. A place where making choices were difficult.

There were some that I thought were friends that walked away with blood splattered on their hands as they had stabbed me in the back. Speaking against me. It was needful for me to walk this journey. Not that those with blood stains hands, would reveal their true heart. But that I would learn how to walk with God on a level that would change me.

During this season of waiting, I found out the reason but it was not what you might think. Many people in the church today, think that going to church and serving is their purpose in this life. Many think that reaching into the pits of hell is their purpose. And those are all important and they have their part in our walk with God.

There is one thing that is needed above everything else. Relationship with God. For you see, there is the scripture that states, “Wait upon the Lord and He shall….” Many people think that waiting means to sit back and wait. God spoke to me and showed me that “Wait” means something differently.

Years ago, I was a server in a restaurant and I learned that when given a table, customers would come in and sit at my table. It was there that I learned the true meaning of the word “Wait”. You would appeal to all their wishes and desires to the best of your ability. To serve / wait on those customers. Giving them something to drink. Offering them the special for the day. Making sure that their meal was prepared and served to them, just the want they wanted it.

So many people want and need clarity and direction from God, when God is asking them to “Wait” on me. Upon spending time with the Lord and “Waiting” upon Him, you realize he gives you direction and clarity after you have served Him first.

Psalms 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Those of you that are in need at this time.. “Wait” on the Lord. Love on Him. Seek Him, Care for HIS needs, Just WAIT on HIM.

For you see, HIS word is clear. “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Ps 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
