Starting from scratch and building a business at times is very fun to do. Especially when you work with people. Some years ago, I was a part of a team who would shot pictures of a wedding. Being a photographer sometimes was fun. Matter of fact, in one year our team shot 39 weddings. That is almost a wedding every weekend.
On one occasion, I went and bought a bride some cold water and some chocolate. She was having a rough day and to help take some of that stress away, I thought that it would be nice to be nice. Almost every woman loves chocolate. And yes, they were the kisses. So in that wedding I got some brownie points.
In another wedding that we were the photographers for, everything was setup, the reception, everyone was dressed and looking so nice, the bride was excited to marry her man. The music started and everyone began to take their places around the altar. And then her comes the bride with a HUGE smile on her face. But after she came down to join her soon to be husband, that smile turned into a frown. Where was the minister? He was no where around. A few phones were made and he was 2 hours away. In his schedule, her wedding was set for the next day.
On that day my job description changed. I took my equipment off and became the minister and married that beautiful couple. So many people from both sides of the family complimented on how wonderful I had done with the ceremony. It was a day that everyone who was there will never forget.
I said all of that to say this . . . What will you do for someone else? Will you go the extra mile to show someone love and respect. We are the BRIDE of Christ and Jesus said..
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples: if ye have love one for another.
In order for us to be the TRUE bride of Christ, we must act like it. No matter who they are, no matter what they look like, no matter what they can or can not do. We should love them just like He loves them!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
