The Seed MUST Die!

Have you ever tried to plant a seed and wondered if it would even grow? Way back in those younger years, I remember being in the science class at school. One of those classes, we planted a bean in a cup and put it by the window at school until it begin to grow. Then we were able to take them home and show our parents. As a kid, it was a neat science project.

Thinking about this today, I was reminded of the parable of the sower that Jesus spoke about. He talked about planting and seeing the seed grow. He talked about the different types of ground there were and what would work and what would not work. But there is something that is very powerful that I felt in my heart that I needed to share today.

The scripture tells us that the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy. I have thought about this many times and wondered how can he steal from us? And I am reminded of Adam and Eve, how that he lied to Eve and then he was able to take dominion over everything God gave to mankind. BUT Jesus came to undo the works of the enemy and give us LIFE and LIFE MORE abundantly.

Then the questions seems to pop in my heart and my mind . . .

Why is the enemy allowed to destroy what I have built?

Why can’t I seem to get ahead of things?

When I work so hard on something, it seems to fall apart, WHY??

These and many other questions comes to mind. I know we all say, “I know how you feel!” And we get upset because of those words. HOW can they really know unless they have walked in my shoes? And many times it is a lack of understanding on our part because we are focused on our pain. There are people that can truly say they know how we feel. So then the questions still remain . . why does God allow this to happen to me?

Remember the scripture . .

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” Genesis 50:20 NAS

So if you stop to think about it . . .

“Verily, verily I say unto you, unless a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24

God knows that you (the seed) MUST die in order to bring forth life! The devil does not realize what he is doing. He sees how beautiful you are and he attacks you in hopes to destroy your marriage, your family, and your life. What he is really doing is setting you up for the greatest victory that you could EVER have in your life! LIFE and LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY!

You see, we MUST die in order to live. This flesh must see pain and hardship. Yes, I know that none of us like pain. But it is the pain that can bring you a testimony.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelations 12:11

Without you (the seed) dying, you could not and would not be in a place to overcome. You would not have such a powerful testimony that you could share with others and the miracles of what God has done in your life. Others need to see and know the hand of God, and HOW he will move in a powerful way. So in-spite of the devil trying to destroy you, raise your head and give God some praise! Because through YOUR testimony, YES . . . YOUR testimony, you will see God move through you to pull people out of the flames of hell all because of your death to self (the seed).

SO have you crawled onto that altar today?

Are you being that living sacrifice . . Holy and acceptable?

Have you laid down your life for His?

Can others see Jesus in you even as you are going through the pain you have endured?
